If you’ve been reading our blog for few times, you might notice that whenever we organize a giveaway, we’ll use a nice notification bar on our site. This is a great way to attract more readers to enter the giveaways. In this tutorial, we’re going to learn how to add notification bar in WordPress site.

Here’s an example from our previous giveaway:

There are lots of plugins currently available to add this feature and in this tutorial, we’re going to use WordPress Notification Bar, a free WordPress plugin.

First of all, you need to install and activate the plugin as usual.

Next, go to the plugin settings page from Settings > Notification Bar.

To use it, make you sure enable it from the settings page. There are few other options can be configured such as text message, button label, button link, the color of the bar and more.

Being a free plugin, this plugin has very limited features. However, I believe this plugin should be enough for most people. I hope this tutorial helped you to add the notification bar to your WordPress site.
