StudioPress, the company behind Genesis Framework, one of the best and high-quality frameworks for WordPress themes in the industry is by far my most favorite theme maker.
Besides Genesis Framework, StudioPress also sells premium Genesis Child Themes and currently there are more than 70 premium child themes available and more is coming with the release of Genesis 2.0 this spring.
Genesis Framework is great, both in terms of flexibility and quality of code. However, to further customize it, according to WordPress best practice, you need to use a child theme. Using child theme will avoid all your customization from being overwrite when upgrading the Genesis Framework to a newer version.
Besides selling great premium child themes, many people might not know that StudioPress had also released few free Genesis child themes.
