How to Embed Facebook Posts in WordPress

Few weeks ago, popular social network, Facebook, introduced a new feature that allows any public posts to be embedded on any site. Although this is not an entirely a new idea as Twitter already allowed any public tweet to be embedded in any site, we’re pretty sure many people will be benefited from this feature.

In today’s tutorial, we’ll show you how to embed Facebook posts in your WordPress site. Here’s an example of a post from The Oatmeal page:

1. Please note that only posts with Public visibility can be embedded. To know whether a post can be embedded, look for this globe icon:

2. Only posts from Facebook Page can be embedded. No post can be embedded from user profiles.

Embedding a Facebook Post

Hover on the post, and you’ll see an arrow on the top right corner of the post. Click on it and you’ll see a drop down.

Click on the Embed Post link and you’ll be presented with a popup. Copy the code.

In your WordPress post editor, switch to the Text tab and paste the code anywhere in the paragraph where you want the post to be displayed.
