If you’ve been using WordPress for a long time, you probably had a time when you need to show your draft post to someone else. For example, for advertorial post, the sponsor might want to preview or proofread the article first before allowing you to publish it on your site. This is to ensure the article meets the requirement of the sponsor and of high quality.
If you simply give URL of the draft post, other people won’t be able to open and read it. Instead, they’ll be redirected to the login page.
Copy and paste the whole text in a notepad seems like a good option, but it’s not the best idea. The format of the article and typography won’t look exactly the same as when you view it from your site. Creating a temporary account might be another good option, but keep in mind that not everyone knows how to use WordPress.
Introducing Public Post Preview.
As the name suggests, the plugin generate an URL with an expiring nonce that can be given out for public preview. No configuration, simply install and activate the plugin and you’re ready to go.
We had used this plugin few times before and very recommend it to others. It’s is a simple plugin but does a great job.
