WordPress 3.8 comes with new, modern-looking admin design. However, if you used MP6 plugin before, this isn’t something new. The new design is also responsive, so it’ll still look great on your mobile device.

Change Admin Color Scheme

Interestingly, the new design also comes with 6 different color schemes. To change the default color scheme, go to Users > Your Profile.

Add New Admin Color Schemes

If you couldn’t find the one that suits you, there’s a plugin called Admin Color Schemes.

After activating the plugin, you’ll see 8 new admin color schemes from your page in addition to 6 default admin color schemes.

If you wish to create your own admin color scheme, looking at the code of the plugin should be a great starting point.

Randomly Change Color Scheme After Publishing a Post

Let’s have something fun. Instead of just one color scheme, why not try to use all of them?

This little plugin called Color Schemes Roulette changes your color schemes every time you publish a post.

It’s also a great motivator, proven to increase blogging frequency up to 170% right after activation! – Konstantin Kovshenin, developer of Color Schemes Roulette plugin, Automattician.
