Thanks for the article! For those who don’t blush easily, I think a much better example of an elegant WP link directory is Smutbomb.com (NSFW). It’s an adult website, but I’m pretty impressed that it’s based on WP.

To be honest, I’d say that since this post was published (2008), WordPress has come even further. If someone actually did the research, I’d almost guess that straight blogs are now a minority of WordPress users, and that CMS sites, portfolios, etc, constitute the majority. WordPress has come a long way in that regard. That’s my .02. Erick
